We are looking for a talented and experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our Machine Learning team. You will play a pivotal role in leveraging the data produced from Adaptyv Bio's protein foundry, improving internal operations and delivering insights to our users.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute frameworks and tools dedicated to efficiently track, analyze and manage the data generated in our Foundry. This role involves creating scalable and robust systems that enhance data integrity and accessibility.
- Design and implement ML models to predict and optimize processes across a wide range of molecular biology workflows and data types.
- Seamlessly integrate new ML models and analytics into our existing infrastructure. You will be enhancing the overall functionality by improving model training, tracking, benchmarking, and evaluation mechanisms.
- Design and collaborate with the Platform Team in building our Foundry API, to autonomously launch complex experimental workflows and manage the data produced in the Foundry.
- Build visualizations and front-end interfaces for both internal teams and external users to interact with the data and insight derived from the data produced in the Foundry.
- Continuously maintain and enhance our software libraries, upholding and advancing industry-standard practices in software development.
Qualifications
- MS or PhD degree in ML, Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data science/ML role in industry.
- Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
- Proficiency in using SQL, NoSQL databases and Data Lakes (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), as well as management, curation and ETL of unstructured data.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure). Additionally, experience with deploying and maintaining serverless and distributed applications and frameworks (Kubernetes, etc).
- Knowledge of RESTful API design and development and experience with API documentation tools (like Swagger or Postman).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- High level of autonomy and critical thinking, taking full ownership of projects from inception to deployment.
- Knowledge of protein engineering, bioinformatics, or molecular biology is a plus.
